Seeing island after the hurricane was heartbreaking. The loss, the destruction and the uncertainty put everyone in the shock. People of St. John gathered together to help each other and to start clean up and rebuild. All pictures are here:
Hurricane Irma Two Days after the Storm Photo Essay 2 of 3
Hurricane Irma came as Category 5 Hurricane to my home island of St. John. My best friend offered her beautiful and strong house to a few people to hide from the storm. There were 9 humans and 4 animals surviving together. I had a mental block for a while and could not look at my pictures which I took during the storm and after the storm, but time heals everything, and I am ready to share my experience. On a beautiful day of May 2017 friends and family gathered at gorgeous beach at Gibney’s Beach Villas, owned and operated by Teri Gibney for a very special occasion – Wedding of Caroline and Clint. Everything was perfect – from the beautiful weather to great food and music!

Oh this was so wonderful. Jeff and I planned for a couple of months this perfect proposal, he found this special place on the island and I was so excited to hike there for a Surprise proposal! Jessica had no idea, and everything went super smooth…
