Labor Day Parade in Coral Bay

Rain or shine they said….. It rained most of the day, but the parade did take place. This is a wonderful local tradition and it attracted every kind of islander – there were families with kids, singles of all ages, a few pirates, a flock of flamingos, some Brits, some visitors (I’ve heard that’s how park wants to call tourists from now on), off course Russian photographer. Everyone enjoyed fun atmosphere, a couple of cold ones and great food made by skilled local families. I personally had a lobster salad and bought gooseberry jelly, soursop drink, a bunch of lemongrass and rosemary, a couple of mangos, tree tomatoes and  a papaya! Even my favorite guy from the park was selling his “kenip”.

Flamingo in US Virgin Islands

http://www.yelenarogersphoto.com/Flamingo-on-Trunk-Bay-St-John-US/

Very rare sighting of a Flamingo occurred recently on island of St. John, US Virgin Islands. Beautiful lonely bird of unusual bright flamboyant-shrimp color was seen on a few beaches of the north shore of St. John. I had chance to photograph it at Trunk Bay on August 22, 2016.

The bird had an identifying black band on one leg, so it could be a visitor from Necker Island and a member of Richard Branson’s flock of flamingos.

Sandy Paws – Salty Kisses!

Not only kids love Easter Egg Hunting. I took my furry kid – puppy Mishka – on a cruise aboard  Motor Yacht “Cinnamon Bay” http://www.motoryachtcinnamonbay.com/privatecharters.html for their annual Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt Caribbean Style! He enjoyed himself so much! Not only he played a therapy dog game, in which he let everyone pet him and provided XOXO’s to all, he was the best egg hunter!!!

Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt onboard of Motor Yacht “Cinnamon Bay”

This was fifth year in the row that Matt and Cindy from  Motor Yacht Cinnamon Bay did their Easter Brunch and Beach Egg Hunt for kids and kids in heart! It was my second year as an official Easter Bunny, I was actually wearing two hats, or should I say two ears – Easter Bunny’s and Family Photographer’s. We left Western Beach at 10-30 am with some great local and visiting families and head out to Little Maho, where we had beach all to ourselves!!!! After incredible, most delicious and abundant brunch we head out to the beach, where me (Easter Bunny) and my little helper (Puppy Mishka) spread out colorful eggs in the water for snorkelers and on the beach for beach combers. I don’t know who enjoyed egg hunt more – kids or their fathers, but the winners had definitely a positive age correlation!!! We had cold drinks on the beach, brought by one and only first mate Royce, played on water slide and enjoyed dinghy runs (little girls got to drive it).

!!! Got back by 3 pm! Kids brought home bags of Easter candies and toys, and their parents unforgettable memories and great family’s photos from beautiful island of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands!!!
