Rain or shine they said….. It rained most of the day, but the parade did take place. This is a wonderful local tradition and it attracted every kind of islander – there were families with kids, singles of all ages, a few pirates, a flock of flamingos, some Brits, some visitors (I’ve heard that’s how park wants to call tourists from now on), off course Russian photographer. Everyone enjoyed fun atmosphere, a couple of cold ones and great food made by skilled local families. I personally had a lobster salad and bought gooseberry jelly, soursop drink, a bunch of lemongrass and rosemary, a couple of mangos, tree tomatoes and a papaya! Even my favorite guy from the park was selling his “kenip”.
