St. Thomas Family Vacation Photos {The Kindy Family}

What a great opportunity to have your family pictures taken when you have all you kids and their spouses and grandchildren together on vacation!!!! We met with Kindy Family at Marriott Frenchman’s Reef Resort on a beautiful Caribbean day.  We caught Golden hour when setting in the ocean sun makes your skin glowing and radiant!!!! As we walked around the resort for different backdrops for the pictures,  we saw a beautiful cruise ship leaving port of St. Thomas – we had to have a picture with it – it looked like a commercial for cruise line!!!  It’s not simple to photograph groups of people with many kids of different ages and different attention spans, but we nailed it! We did not treat this as a photoshoot – we played games and asked questions, we told stories and participated in quests. I was very thrilled when I received a great thank you e-mail from Jerry! One more happy customer of Yelena Rogers Photography!!!

Senior Portraits {Reece}

When we met with Reece and his Mom Jody for photo session, we were looking for some ruins and beach as a backdrop for his Senior pictures. We decided to go to Cinnamon Bay which would give us both options. Reece had a wonderful personality, I felt that I was working with the professional model. At the end of the photo shoot I offered Reece to play a little with my new  light prism and we created some cool and unusual images!!!

St. John School of Arts‘ annual show BROADWAY COMES TO ST JOHN was a huge success! Gala show with Dinner and Auction was sold out! Hardworking 4th graders from Gifft Hill, Julius E. Sprauve and St. John Christian Academy Schools showed off their talents in the bright and breathtaking BROADWAY COMES TO ST JOHN! Mentor Actors from Broadway did an amazing job!!! Congratulations to Tierney Murrill who received the Broadway Scholarship!

Reusable Groceried Bags with Yelena Rogers Photography images

Friends of the National Park, in collaboration with Yelena Rogers Photography created a project to provide Reusable Grocery Bags to St. Johnians and visitors of the island. Bags feature beautiful images of Trunk Bay on one side and Cinnamon Bay on the other! You can get one for free tomorrow Friday April 22 from 9am-12 noon at the Earth Day Environmental Fair. Fair will be held at the ball field next to the National Park Visitors Center in Cruz Bay. All are welcome!
